Promote the Environmental Awareness in Youth for Georgia without Waste

Project Goal

Raise the awareness in youth by means of Eco-Clubs development and capacity building.

Project Results

For 36 students and teachers, members of Eco-Clubs created at public schools in 13 target communities of Samegrelo an Guria regions, trainings on following topics were organized:

  • Eco-Club concept – goals and objectives, development and strengthening;
  • Development of leadership skills and teamwork principles;
  • Interactive learning methodologies;
  • Environmental education and volunteering.

Citizens for Open and Effective Local Self-Government

Project Goal

Study the effectiveness, transparency and inclusiveness of the management of municipal funds allocated by the central budget, as well as facilitate its improvement through development and delivery of adequate recommendations.

Project Results

In frames of the project, the study of the municipal funds management system was conducted; results of the study were discussed by stakeholders and relevant recommendations for improvements were prepared.

Elections and Public Funds Management

Project Goal

In the pre-election period, ensure the prohibition of the use of public funds by those legal entities under Public Law that are not financed from the state, autonomous or municipal budgets.

Project Results

In the pre-election period, financial management systems of four legal entities under Public Law that are not financed by the state budget, were studied. As a result of the study, systemic problems have been revealed; accordingly, relevant recommendations have been developed and presented to Parliament and Government of Georgia as well as to other competent agencies and ministries.
