Improve knowledge and develop skills of regional CSO staff, in order to promote sustainability and increase efficiency and visibility of the civil society sector. In particular, transfer the specific knowledge and skills that would help to establish the cooperation between the local self-governments and communities.

Active consumers for protection of their rights
Project Goal
Improve the situation with consumers’ rights protection through the tighter control over the market executed both by consumers and by the state.
Project Results
- With active participation of youth, the information campaign on the food safety and consumer rights protection was organized;
- The lecture on consumer rights protection was designed;
- The information on inspected food products and their safety was actively disseminated through the website and social network.

Project Goal

A number of food products was inspected; the corresponding results on their safety were posted on the web-portal momxmarebeli.geand in social media.

Encourage Georgian civil society’s participation in food safety reform: “I eat, therefore I care”
Project Goal
Strengthen and promote the food safety and consumer protection reforms in Georgia, in accordance with the European Neighborhood Policy Action Plan and specific local needs.
Project Results
- Georgian-language information materials
- on food safety were prepared;
- Small grants were awarded to local CSOs;
- Field experts provided regular consultations to the grant recipient organizations;
- Teachers and students of public schools throughout Georgia took part in trainings on consumer rights protection.

Empowering Women for Change
Project Goal
Promote women equality and their economic empowerment in Samegrelo and Kakheti regions.
Project Results
- Altogether 299 women were involved in both phases of the project; 50 community groups were created;
- 60 trainings, 209 seminars and working meetings were conducted;
- 12 study tours were organized;
- In frames of the micro-grants component 87 projects were funded, with the total value equal to GEL 388 031
